Dedicated, experienced Multimedia Designer and Education Specialist with a degree in Graphic Design, and a passion for providing innovative, effective communication solutions.
Proven ability to combine different forms of digital and print media to clearly and creatively communicate a message, as well as develop, implement, and evaluate programs that meet the needs of a diverse audience. Ability to utilize and learn multiple cross-platform design products.
Expertise in instructional design, child development theory, communication, and client rapport building techniques. Committed to creating a supportive, on-brand environment that promotes growth and development.
My Story
A forever student - a teacher - and a designer.
I have a diverse background in the field of education, from my first opportunity as a 3rd grader to volunteer in the SPED classroom, to running my own horseback riding/training program as a teenager, to teaching ESL, reading literacy, and graphic design online as a young mother, to homeschooling my own children, to developing and implementing curriculum for the Boys and Girls Club in my local community currently... learning was my first passion, followed very closely now by teaching.
I also have a Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design from FullSail University. The emphasis of my learning was on communicating a message in a way that changes people's behavior, both digitally and in print. My strategy now is to apply the principles from my education in communication and delivering a powerful message to educate others, regardless of the subject matter.
My lifelong mission to serve in the community has led me to not only travel to a myriad of wonderful locations and create deep bonds in each of them, but has exposed me to lifestyles, cultures, and community needs that have allowed me to develop an array of unexpected skills. These skills and learning moments have fueled me to become the best educator possible, in order to help all types of learners absorb new information.
I can say with confidence that I put my full heart and passion into any job I take on, be it volunteer or otherwise.
